This is a great chart for those who are researching an unusual caliber:

Another good blog site
There's an interesting article today on 6mm-BR:
http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2015/04/ringing-steel-at-1500-yards-with-a-little-help-from-ab-kestrel/
Follow the link within the article to the blog site, it's well worth a look:
http://www.ryansrangereport.com/
Some good videos on their YouTube Channel. I'm following quite a few good YouTube channels now, think that'll have to be the subject of a future post. Let me know if there are any you think are worthy of including and I'll do top 10 or something.
I've updated the links page too.

New shooting forum
http://varmintinguk.freeforums.net/
Great new forum for people who actually go shooting and don't just talk about it. Keyboard warriors need not apply!

Gear Reviews - Blog site
This is without a doubt one of the most interesting and informative
websites I have ever found on shooting:
Great blog for gear reviews with real
world test results. The level of detail they go into and the range of gear
tested is unsurpassed.
There is a particularly good test one tactical
scopes. Also, good information on what the people who are winning are using.
This website is like a book you can't put down. I'm hooked.

Does Barrel Twist Rate Affect Muzzle Velocity?
There is a good write up on 6mm-BR today of an extract from Bryan Litz's new book Modern Advancements in Long-Range Shooting.
Does Barrel Twist Rate Affect Muzzle Velocity?
The results are surprising. 5 fps for a 4" change in twist.
I've also found out you can now get some of Litz's books on a kindle.

Lapua's New Products Brass
Lapua will introduce 3 new cases to its brass line up in 2015:
- 300 AAC Blackout (300 BLK)
- 7mm-08 Rem
- 8x57 JS
I'm specifically interested in the 7-08. I’ve just received
my 7-08 and I’ll be doing a reloading guide for it soon.

The Badger Cull
I see the Antis are as well informed as ever:
Telegraph - Badger protesters target country sports like hunting and shooting
Rifles, for pheasants, come on! Try a bit harder with your facts please. Probably the same logic they use to argue against the cull.

“Forthampton shooting estate is as you probably know covered in footpaths. Making the sabotage of there business very very easy, if anyone walks along the footpaths during a shoot they have to break their rifles and wait for you to go."

Rifle and Ammunition Technical Drawings/Specifications
Need and technical drawing for a certain calibre or almost anything else, then try this.
It has military standards and specifications for most things, including small arms.

Berger's 1st Reloading Manual
Berger have launched their 1st Reloading Manual.
Not just a reloading manual but appears to have quite a few interesting technical subjects discussed as well.
I've got my name down for one.

Ballistic FTE/AE App
Ballistic AE (FTE) just introduced what I think is going to be a game changer in terms of ballistics apps, Multiple wind entries:
You can now enter multiple wind speeds and angles at different ranges and it will calculate a solution for you. This has been one thing I think has been lacking from ballistics software for a while.
UKV MQC
The Inaugural UKV Mendip Quarry Challenge took place on the 8th September 2012. Check out the write up on the UKV site. There are many events like this in the States but very few here in the UK hopefully the success of this one will inspire people to run similar events.
There is an appetite for this type of shooting in the UK we just need more venues to run the events.

Weather History
Having been to the Range this weekend and forgotten to fill out the Atmospheric details in my log book I though I'd try to find a weather history provider. This is what I found:
Weather History
Location specific and gives all the relevant info for shooters such as Barro Pressure, Temperature, etc.

Weekends are for Shooting
Weekends are for shooting, or if you feel like it, this weekend, watching shooting:
Saturday:
Women's 50m 3 Position Rifle
Women's Trap
Sunday:
Men's 50m Pistol
Men's Trap
Think I'd still rather be out shooting myself. Have a good weekend.
